The Utah (SSN 801) is the 28th Virginia-class attack submarine and the second United States Navy ship to be named for the state of Utah.

September 1, 2021 The keel for the future USS Utah was laid down during a ceremony at General Dynamics Electric Boat’s Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, R.I.

October 25, 2025 The Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) Utah was christened during a 10 a.m. EDT ceremony at Electric Boat shipyard in Groton, Connecticut. Sharon Lee and Mary Kaye Huntsman served as sponsors of the ship.
