The Beloit (LCS 29) is the 15th ship in the Freedom-class littoral combat ships and the first ship in the United States Navy to be named after Beloit, Wisconsin.

July 22, 2020 The keel authentication ceremony for the future-USS Beloit was held at the Fincantieri Marinette Marine Corp. shipyard in Marinette, Wisconsin.

May 7, 2022 The Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) Beloit was christened and launched during a 10 a.m. CST ceremony at Marinette Marine shipyard. The Army Maj. Gen. Marcia M. Anderson (Ret.) served as sponsor of the ship.

June 29, 2024 PCU Beloit returned to Marinette shipyard after a two-day underway for Builder's (Alpha) trials on Lake Michigan; Underway again from July 15-17; Day-long underway for acceptance trials on Sept. 9.

September 30, U.S. Navy accepted delivery of the PCU Beloit during a brief ceremony aboard the ship at Marinette Marine shipyard.

November 16, PCU Beloit, commanded by Cmdr. Le Andra N. Kissinger, departed Marinette, Wisc., for the last time en route to Mayport, Florida; Moored at McKinley Marina lakefront on Veteran's Park in Milwaukee, Wisc., from Nov. 17-25.

November 23, USS Beloit was commissioned during a 10 a.m. CST ceremony at Veteran's Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

November 26, USS Beloit transited the Strait of Mackinac eastbound; Transited the Detroit River southbound on Nov. 27; Moored at Dock 28W in Port of Cleveland, Ohio, from Nov. 28- Dec. 1; Completed the northbound transit of Welland Canal, just before midnight, on Dec. 2.

December 5, The Beloit moored at Wharf 21 in Port of Quebec, Canada, for a three-day visit; Moored at HMC Dockyard Jetty NB3 in Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Halifax, Nova Scotia, from Dec. 11-13; Anchored at Lynnhaven Anchorage "C," approx. 3 n.m. off the coast of Little Creek, Va., for an overnight stop on Dec. 15; Moored at Pier 17N in Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story for a brief stop on Dec. 16.

December 19, USS Beloit moored at Wharf C2 in its homeport of Naval Station Mayport for the first time; Moved to Wharf E3, outboard the USS Indianapolis (LCS 17), on Dec. 30.

January 24, 2025 Cmdr. Gary J. Bickel relieved Cmdr. Le Andra N. Kissinger as the 2nd CO of Beloit during a change-of-command ceremony aboard the ship.
